OK.... the info that follows is pretty much pertinent to wide-body slant-nose coaches only. My windshields on both sides are delaminating around the edges and the seals are becoming the consistency of chewing gum in the Florida summertime heat. Nine years of steady Florida sun exposure has taken its toll and it's now time to swap the windshields as a package. Following is the information on the glass and a source for new glass.... The windshields are marked as follows (applicable to both sides). Guardian Safety Float Tint Laminated AS1-87 gg-M84, DOT22 Driver's side windshield has code "R 001- 8A". Passenger's side windshield has code "R0 02-A2" RV Glass Solutions has both windshields in-stock. Price for glass both sides is $2,376.00, with new gaskets for both sides being $360.00. $349 shipping and handling to Jacksonville, Florida and I pick up the glass & gaskets from there. RV Glass Solutions uses an external contractor to install glass in Florida, he's a mobile service and the cost for install, both sides, is $500.00. There are two versions of the slant-nose windshield, one for the narrow body (91" coach) and one for the wide body (96" coach). Make sure you get the correct windshields if you order. The problem will be to locate and install the correct gasketing. There's not much information out there on gasketing for the Revcon windshields. It's a two-piece gasket that the windows are fit into. I took some close up pics of the gasketing and sent the package over to RV Glass Solutions, I'm waiting to hear back from them.... if I can get information on what gasket they use I'll post it. Pics to follow... Hi Eric Was wondering if you have a source and part number for the windshield seals. My windshields are also delaminating and I'm going to have to change them. Also how did yours turn out? |

This is a bit late but I'll post what I have. I haven't done my windshields yet, but I have a note that a Cooper General 2-piece EPDM Rubber Weatherstrip, part number 75000428 "SHOULD" work. It's for use with 1/4" glass panel and 1/8" body panel. The Reco lock strip is part number 75000687. Section number is AS-1179. This information came from the Cooper website at . As always, independently verify this information and use at your own risk. The original source of the info to me was another slant nose coach owner, however I don't who it was and I didn't write it down. Thanks Eric |

And a follow-up note, I purchased 50 feet of the 75000428 windshield sealing strip off EBAY last week for $72.00 shipped. New old stock. This will be easily enough to do both windshields plus maybe have a little bit for rainy day spare or to slice thin for samples. Sure beats the $359 that Coach Glass wanted, lol! And, they couldn't even ID the strip exactly without a sample, which I would have had to cut out of the coach. Eric |
