Welcome to the forums! I'm on the other side of Florida in the Cocoa Beach area. I haven't done the rear disc conversion yet but I probably should.... Again, welcome! Eric |

Yes, Eric, rear discs make an unbelievable difference in stopping confidence. Much faster reaction time, and much better controlled actuation. Just make sure you throw away the proportioning valve. The balance will be about right hooked up direct. James, Welcome aboard. Sounds like you've done all the typical repairs for an aged coach. I was a little curious about replacing the right side carrier bearing. I'm assuming you mean inside the differential. Normally its not the bearing that wears so much, but the actual flange on the end of the carrier. All that stuff flexes so much under load, which causes it to wear. There are good ways to stabilize the flex, which we believe will dramatically improve the life of the diff. |

Thank you guy's. Dave the bearings I replaced are the front wheel bearings. About 2 years ago I decided to change diff gear ratio, so I took it to a local truck shop that said they do them all the time. A friend that use to work there said Oh Yea they are good. They broke a bearing cap, and installed something that didn't even fit. Just by chance before I installed It I pulled the cover off for inspection and found what they did. They denied everything, they said it was like that etc. etc. They gave me the money I paid them back. The guy in Columbus Ohio that cut the front off his coach to make a trailer sold me the diff. It's a low mile unit and working well. Did we loose all the pictures from the old web site? James |

No. The pics are still there, but we have to go get them one album (and one picture) at a time. I'm not sure on what kind of resolution that we'll be able to download them at. There's also the issue of picking some good pic hosting software for the forum here. There are a LOT of pictures between the three Yahoo RC forums that people have been depositing into for years. All a part of the slow migration process. It'd be a lot easier if we had the cooperation of the forum administrator, but as you know Eddie has been AWOL for a long time and no one seems to have a contact telephone number for him. Thanks Eric |

I'm going to assume you have a '79 Revcon, which used different axles than my '83. My Revcon has Dexter axles, which are different from your Wolverine axles on your '79, so I have no idea if the conversion would fit your coach. Kodiac made a specific kit of for the Dexter axle. |
