Well I just joined the forum and thought I'd be the first person to post something useful ("helpfully") in the tech section.
On a recent camping trip I discovered that I had nearly no brakes when we went to return home. After a bit of sleuthing I discovered that my proportional valve had failed. The metering valve was squirting fluid and sucking air. After hours of internet research, a couple of emails, and a phone call I located a brand new replacement valve from Carolina Classic Trucks

Part Number: 73-78-GMC-MotorHome-prop-valve
The valve was a direct replacement and required no modifications. I did take the opportunity to replace the brake lines from the proportional valve to the master cylinder.
