My coach is in the shop for repairs and the shop tried to call Marty Moore to obtain some transfer case and differential rubber mounts and was informed he was no longer with us. The woman on the phone wasn't very helpful apparently. Does anyone know if Marty is still around and if not, what happened to his parts inventory? It would be a shame if it was languishing in a warehouse in San Diego and couldn't be accessed to help the small cadre of Revcon enthusiasts still preserving these coaches. |

I have Marty's number in my contact list. There used to be a younger man who answered the phone if I called early in the morning before Marty arrived. Haven't needed to call for about a year, (fortunately). I will be in San Diego in less than three weeks. Perhaps I can make some discrete inquiries. The only place i found the same replacement mounting bushings was from Marty, although I didn't look very hard RBeck |

Thanks for the note back. I have his number too so maybe I'll give it a try myself early San Diego time and see what happens. Any discreet snooping you could do while in the area would probably be helpful to us all. Thanks, Jerry |

The latest from my repair shop is that Marty has indeed passed and according to what they were told, all of the inventory is now tied up in probate. So one can only hope it will see the light of day in the hands of someone willing to carry the flame. |

Jerry, I replied to your transfer case request under the flat nose classification on May 4th and have heard nothing back. I have a brand new transfer case a bought as a spare about 10 years ago that I would like to sell. It is still crated and ready to go. I can send photos. Jay Gridley 208-661-6070 |

Sorry I didn't reply and also sorry I posted in the wrong section. My problem is with a slant nose 88-89 not a flat nose (brain fade). Thanks for your input but all I needed was the rubber mounts themselves. The case etc., is still OK. My guys did find some urethane mounts to replace the old rotted rubber so I shouldn't need to replace them again. I will find out from the shop what they used so others might benefit. |

Sorry to hear of Marty's passing. But, now we all have the question facing us that we knew would eventually be addressed.... 1) Disposition of Marty's Revcon parts inventory, and 2) How to ID the parts only Marty would provide (in plain white boxes, no numbers). Inner tie rod ends jogged my memory right to start with. I'd bet the parts inventory had an extremely high book value, so anyone wanting a portion of it (or all of it) would really end up eating a poison pill. Unless it was all just sent to auction by whoever ended up with it based on his will (hoping he had one!). Multiple ways this could go, and all not necessarily being in our favor.... |
